Ume-Shu as Liqueur
We take an aim of world level in our ume-shu from Kishu Ume (plum) which is famous product here and is named after our location, Wakayama Japan. (Wakayama is in Kishu area of large section in Japan.)
It is said that the origin of “Liqueur” was created as a kind of medical drink in about 400 year B.C. The origin of “Liqueur” in Japan is said Rikyu-shu (利久酒), which was brewed in the age of Taiko Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
There are many kinds of liqueurs, such as ‘Campari,’ ‘Curacao’ etc., which are still on a way to be refined and enhanced. While the “Liqueur” is very recognized with its historical weight in the world, it is less recognized than “Sake” and/or “Shochu” in Japan, maybe because of its process of blending and/or distillation.
We are proud to have “Ume-Shu” as it represents Japanese Liqueur to the world. Liqueur usually has supplemental ingredients of coloring, flavoring and etc. Japanese Ume-Shu is a liqueur of possible brewing without such supplemental ingredients. It offers us the natural taste with the natural flavors.
We, Heiwa Shuzou, take an aim of world level in our “Ume-Shu” liqueur. Our “Ume-Shu” is from very selected materials, fine brewing and special stock reserving because of the aim of real “Liqueur” to be offered. We are proud; our Ume-Shu can represent Japanese liqueur in the world.
