Heiwa Shuzou was founded in 1928. The house and the premises were of Japanese temple “Muryousan Chougannji” originally. The founder was the adopted son for his marriage with the daughter of the temple. He was from the family of Sake brewery, which was his parent’s house. Heiwa Shuzou is located in Wakayama prefecture() which is in southern part of Japan Honsyu island and has moderate and rather warm climate. As like other alcoholic drinks in brewery, Japanese Sake is also made after the alcoholized process, which occurs in a step that Kouji yeast()eats a sugar amount of the rice material. Japanese sake rice scarcely holds the sugar amount, but holds rich amount of starch, instead. We take an aim of world level in our ume-shu from Kishu Ume (plum) which is famous product here and is named after our location, Wakayama Japan. Do you like sweet drink, or sour drink? Do you like light alcoholic drink, or heavy alcoholic drink? I t depends on personal preferences. The first advice by brewery is; you shall try the Ume-Shu straight to know if you like the brand you have. So far, it is nice? If it is just fit with you, please take it straight. The Ume-Shu is one of very familiar liqueurs in Japan. Our county Wakayama produces about 60% of total plum production in Japan. They have several bottles of ume-shu container in every home. They provide their own ume-shu from plum in trees here and there with their home-made technique.
